Our Story
It's
a kind
of magic.
Spring 1988. I am staying with my grandparents
at the Lac Léman.
One day I ask my grandfather if I can taste his red wine. He pours me a sip and adds water.
Late summer 2021.
I am staying without my grandparents at the Lac Léman.
One day I ask a winemaker if I can taste his red wine.
He pours me a sip without water.
When I was 6 years old, my grandparents took me to their favorite place: Lac Léman in Switzerland. Of all the countries I have traveled to, Switzerland turns out to be my favorite place too. It is where my passion for wine was born, thanks to my grandfather. And where my love for beauty and nature was ignited, thanks to my grandmother.
Sadly, my grandparents have passed away. But their love for Switzerland and wine lives on in me. In 2022, I graduated as a sommelier-conseil. Believing deeply in the circle of life, and wanting to pay tribute to my grandparents, I created clairement suisse.
There is, however, another reason why I love Swiss wine so much. I like getting off the beaten track. And I’m a sucker for underdogs.
clairement suisse will give Swiss wines the attention they finally deserve. So move over, French, Italian and German neighbours.
Nobody puts Swiss wine in a corner.
